'Spent money on gambling': Man kills pregnant wife over LPG refill money dispute in Bihar
BEGUSARAI: An argument over refilling an LPG cylinder turned fatal when a 21-year-old pregnant woman was bludgeoned to death with bricks by her husband at Muzafra Gara village under Birpur police station in Begusarai district on Tuesday night. The argument reportedly erupted after the husband spent the money meant for cylinder refilling on gambling, police said.According to the police, the victim, Lakshmi Kumari, was the mother of a two-and-a-half-year-old son and was expecting her second child. She was married to Raj Choudhary about four years ago. Raj has been arrested in connection with the case and further investigation is underway.Family members claimed that Raj is addicted to gambling. They alleged that Lakshmi had given him Rs 1,000 to refill an LPG cylinder about 10 days ago, but he spent the money on gambling. An argument broke out over the issue on Tuesday, during which Raj allegedly bludgeoned Lakshmi with bricks. To conceal the crime, he allegedly took her to a local hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
